See!!!! I told you!! Here is the darling stand for our adorable cookie cutter bookmarks.
Ahhhhhhhh.... these are freaking fantastic! Who wouldn't want to get this set of bookmarks for Christmas? I know I would!!
For this project, I used crumb cake card stock and the Candy Cane Lane DSP. Here is a list of the paper you will need:
2 pieces of crumb cake card stock that measure 7 1/2 x 3
1 piece crumb cake card stock that measures 5 x 5 1/2
One piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP that measures 4 7/8 x 5 1/8
One piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP that measures 5 3/8 x 7/8
Scrap piece of whisper white card stock for banner and sentiment.
Scrap piece of silver glimmer paper for the "Joy" die cut.
Mount the 4 7/8 x 5 1/8 DSP to the 5 x 5 1/2 piece of crumb cake card stock. This is the back of the stand.
To create the base of the stand, take both pieces of the 7 1/2 x 3 pieces of crumb cake card stock and score at 1 inch on all four sides. Do this to both pieces.
Fold and burnish one of the pieces and create an open box out of it.
On the other piece of crumb cake card stock, in the largest middle piece, draw a line with a pencil to divide the piece in half horizontally. You will be making slits in this line which will hold the paper clips in place. From the first score line, use an exacto knife and make a 1 inch slit. cut from 1/2 to 1 1/2, cut from 2 1/4 to 3 1/4, and finally from 4 1/4 to 5 1/4.
If you want to watch the video for the rest of the instructions, please do so here. As I am not the best with written instructions, and I don't have photographs.
I hope you enjoyed this sweet project that any book lover will appreciate!!
Until next time...
Jen
